DO NOT touch your piercing other than when cleaning it. DO NOT allow other to touch your piercing. DO NOT remove or change the jewelry during the healing period. DO NOT buy crappy, cheap, mall jewelry. DO NOT take advice from anyone other than your piercer...if you do...go see them with your problems. PIERCINGS BELOW THE NECK: 1) Purchase Gypsy Roses’ Crustified Carcass Cure-All piercing wash. 2) Assuming you shower every morning, at the end of your shower (once all other products have been rinsed from your body and hair), take a dime sized blob of your piercing wash into your hands. 3) Gently clean the entire area of the piercing and all exposed portions of the jewelry. DO NOT forcefully twist or turn the jewelry through the piercing. When it is ready to move it willdo so with ease. 4) Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Leave alone. *All piercings will have different healing times. Jewelry should not be changed until your piercer deems your piercing healed. Some piercings will require jewelry downsizing; speak to your piercer about appropriate downsize times for your piercing. **TAKE NOTE** Though it is easiest to clean your piercing in or just after a shower...most of us don’t shower twice a day. When cleaning at the sink, we recommend doing a WARM COMPRESS first. Simply take a clean facecloth, fold it in 4, soak with hot water and hold firmly to your piercing for one minute. This will soften crusties, and ease cleaning. In case of GENITAL PIERCINGS we suggest you urinate after cleaning to avoid soap in your urethra.
PIERCINGS ABOVE THE NECK 1) Purchase Gypsy Roses’ Headshot Sanctifying Serum piercing aftercare spray. 2) After showering or a warm compress (see above), saturate a clean Q-tip with your piercing aftercare spray. 3) Gently clean the entire area of the piercing and all exposed portions of the jewelry. DO NOT forcefully twist the jewelry through the piercing. When it is ready to move it will do so with ease. 4) You’re done! Leave it alone! *All piercings will have different healing times. Jewelry should not be changed until your piercer deems your piercing healed. Some piercings will require jewelry downsizing; speak to your piercer about appropriate downsize times for your piercing.
ORAL PIERCINGS 1) Purchase Gypsy Roses’ Dreamy Disinfecting Oral Douche. 2) In a separate bottle, mix your oral wash 50%/50% with water. 3) Rinse for 30 seconds after everything that goes in your mouth other than water. If you are a smoker, do not exceed 10 rinses per day...substitute additional rinses with water. *All piercings will have different healing times. Jewelry should not be changed until your piercer deems your piercing healed. Some piercings will require jewelry downsizing; speak to your piercer about appropriate downsize times for your piercing.
DO NOT PLAY WITH YOUR ORAL PIERCING...YOU WILL CAUSE SCARRING. |
